Oh no he didn't...

Bring home this little guy...isn't he adorable though? We can't have him at the place we're living, but mac has him in PA while he's working & then he'll come visit us on the day that mac is home...I love him already and will be heartbroken if we have to give him away.

Happy weekend!

What I'm loving Wednesdays

I've seen this around a few blogs and since I'm "new" to the blogging scene, I figured I would do a few of these each week ( What I'm loving Wednesday, Fill in the Blank Friday, etc) and try & make some new friends. So here's what I'm loving from this week:

These shoes:

I'm loving that one of my neighbors & I talked for two hours the other night.  He knows that the boy works out of state 5 days a week and that I don't drive. He left me his phone # in case I ever had an emerengcy or needed a ride somewhere. He's the nice "old" man as Mac & I call him since we never knew (remembered) his name. It's nice to know people are still nice in this world.

I'm loving that in exactly one month I will be on my vacation. Nothing really planned, maybe Six Flags or a zoo trip, but I'm okay with it and can't afford anything other than that. Staycations can be nice and relaxing.

I love that Mac puts up with me & allows me to post like this to facebook AND tag him in it

And as always, I'm loving my family & friends.
Mom had surgery on her foot on Monday, please wish for a quick recovery!

Join in and tell me what YOU'RE loving

TV Talk Tuesday

Since it's almost August, that means there is just weeks before new TV shows start again. I'm looking forward to seeing these shows (some new & some returning shows):

Apartment 23 (ABC-New)

Work It (ABC-new)

Happy Endings (ABC-newish)
I started watching this show over the Spring & fell in love with it after the first episode. Definitely something I will keep watching.

Modern Family (ABC)
LOVE it. If you don't watch it, do it this season!!!
Whitney (NBC-new)

Parenthood (NBC)
When I saw this show come out I was hoping that it would help me get over the fact that Gilmore Girls are never ever going to come back to TV and I will never see one of the cutest couple get married. This is one of mine (and Mac's) favorite show.

Other returning shows that I'm excited for:

Law & Order: SVU (even though Christopher Meloni WILL NOT be on it, this makes me sad)
One Tree Hill (Even though the season finale stunk)
Biggest Loser (just to see if the new trainer can replace Jillian...which they can't)

So tell me, what shows are you excited for this fall?

Weekend Update

I hope everyone had a wonderful & fun weekend. I wish I can say I did, but I was at work on Saturday and I cleaned all day yesterday. This is going to be a long week for me.  Usually I'm off on Tuesdays, but once a month I have to work a Tuesday. Unfortunately for me, that's this week.

I'm going to try & not be negative about this long week and focus on the positive things which include:

-Having 10 hours of OT by the end of this week at least.
-The boy coming home either tomorrow night or Tuesday.
-Going to see Friends with Benefits on Tuesday night for our weekly Tuesday night.
-33 days til my vacation (to no where)
-Having a mostly clean house.

So tell me...what did you do this weekend?

Fill in the blank Friday

1.   One of my happiest moments ever was  when Mac proposed, even though it wasn't one of those romantic proposals that every little girl dreams of but it fit us perfectly

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are  fun as long as you know more people than the happy couple, otherwise it's just awkward.

3.  This summer  has flown by and I cannot believe it's almost August!

4.  My summer food of choice has been fruits, cherries mostly.

5.  My summer uniform has been  skirts or dresses mostly....that may or may not be because my pants are a little snug...

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose   Dominican Republic with Mac's family.  He hasn't been "home" in 10+ years (he came to the US at 6 months old)

7.  My summer anthem is  anything fast paced...California Girls by Katy Perry jumps into my head right now. But Beach Boys is pretty high up there too..

I believe this is my first Fill in the Blank Friday. Hopefully I can keep up with them. They're just so fun.

Head over to The Little Things We Do & participate!

Everyone loves pictures

So I had a very crummy day at work. Future Hubby went back to work this morning (he works in PA, we live in NJ, he comes home 2 days a week), so I was sad about that, then they added MORE things for me to do at work and then I had to take the lovely bus home. So when I got home at 9:15, walked upstairs with my Popeyes (diet fail!) and mail and saw my package from Kohls. I went in and immediately ripped open the package and found my dress and shoes inside. So naturally I did what any 26 year old would do and played dress up.

Sorry for the messy background, but focus on the pretty dress and not the towels that someone doesn't know how to hang up..

my new Candies shoes. I love them and right now they seem comfortable.

Now I just need to find the perfect accessories. Any website suggestions for inexpensive & pretty jewelry?

What I'm loving Wednesdays

I'm loving that the future hubby & I were able to have a date night yesterday. We went out to lunch, went and got yummy foods & then we went & saw Harry Potter.

I'm loving that there's only 38 days until my vacation...even if I have no plans of going anywhere.

I'm loving this dress I bought for an upcoming wedding:

(now just need shoes!)

I'm loving this man & how we matched yesterday during our day out...we're not that couple that dresses alike on purpose...it just happens.

What are you loving? Join up with Jamie and tell her what you're loving

6 Year Anniversary

Mac & I met July 16th 2005 at a bowling alley.  I was with my friend Krystina, and Mac was with our friend Fred.  At first glance I thought he was cute, but didn't think anything of it since I was still kind of wanting to be with my on again/off again boyfriend or whatever he was.  So the 4 of us decided on KFC for dinner. I wound up paying for everyone that night somehow. After dinner we went to the liquor and then back to Fred's house to drink and play truth or dare & darts. After drinking a bit, I went to the window for some cool air and mac came and sat by me and we talked about different things. Fast forward a few hours and we were in Fred's kitchen making out.  Krystina didn't feel well so she left and I decided to stay behind and have Fred take me home the next day.  Fred went to bed and we kept talking. 7 am comes around and his mom calls him. He has to leave to bring her to church...so I decided to go with him. Left my purse at Fred's, so he knew I was coming back. It was pretty awkward meeting his mom 12 hours after meeting him. So after that we hung out at his place and then went back to Freds.  Later we exchanged #'s and AOL screennames.  We talked online a lot and decided that we'd go on a real date where he paid. July 30th was our official date.  We went to see Stealth at the theatre, went to Quick Chek for sandwiches and then went to West New York, NJ to walk and see the skyline (told him my dream date was dinner, movie & a walk on the beach so he did the best he could to make it happen). We've been together pretty much ever since.  He told me loved me several weeks after we started dating, I said it back several weeks after that. We got engaged 12/25/2006 in my bedroom of my old apartment at 2am while I was wrapping presents. Was it how I thought I'd be proposed to? Absolutely not. Would I change it? No. Our relationship is NO where near perfect, but despite our nasty & mean fights, we love each other and  want to spend our lives together and have children.  We've gone through a lot together.  Death, loss of jobs, money issues, depression. If we can make it through all that (and that's just in the last 6 months!) we can make it through anything
Unfortunately we won't be together to celebrate due to him working in Pennsylvania, but we'll make up for it.  So here is a look at some of our 6 years together.  (One thing I notice is that I'm almost always on the left in pics!)

most recent pic (I swear he was happy here!!)

(may be one of my favorite pics despite my paleness)

(i took a few month hiatus, but I'm hoping to start back up here!)
