A little more open

I feel like since I've started writing in this blog I haven't been completely open. I have another site that I write on that's a little more personal and quiet, but if this site is going to be a place where I come back years from now & look back on, I want to be able to see the things that went on in our lives and not what I was pinning on some random Wednesday, so from here on I will try to speak type my mind a little more often.

Last Wednesday Mac was fired by the company he was working for. Reasons are still a little unclear right now. They said one thing, he thinks it was for another..you know how that goes. I'm trying not to stress out, but there's always a fear in the back of my mind that he won't find anything and we will have to move back home to our parents houses...yeah this is how my mind works. We've unfortunately have gone through this every year for the last 4 years in a row.  I'm pretty certain he'll find something soon & if it takes a bit, he'll at least have unemployment. He's a hard worker & someone who actually wants to work and support me & the dog.

I would appreciate well wishes and thoughts.

I hope to have a better blog entry tomorrow & something with pictures!

Old photos

I  was going through some old photobucket pics & found ones of when I was at my best weight/shape. Definitely found the motivation I used to have to hopefully get back there or close to possible by my vacation/anniversary (July 16th which is 31 days away) Wish me luck!

I will get there. Maybe not by my anniversary/vacation, but in a couple of months. I'm about to give up all junk and eat fruit and yogurt every time I want something to snack on. That's how I did it last time...well & kick butt in the gym. Which is starting again too.

I will be starting weekly or bi-weekly updates on this.

Here are some stats:

When I started weight watchers in April I was 156 pounds (I believe this is my higest ever)

Yesterday on weight watchers I was 146. So 10 pounds in 3 months, I'll take it considering I haven't stepped foot in the gym since March.

Goal weight: Anywhere from 120-130s. That's where I feel & look my best. I think anyway.

Any tips/advice? I'd love to hear what you have to say!

Crock Pot

So Mac & I were bickering the other day about how he wished I'd cook more. It's true. I don't cook often. We're gone out from the house with work up to 12 hours a day sometimes more. The last thing I want to do is cook. I do wish I would cook more. If I stayed home everyday & didn't work, there would be food on the table everyday, but unfortunately I can't do that..yet. I used to have a crock pot & when we moved, I  must of either left it or threw it out.  So in the very near future I will own one of these. I like the ones that cook & then warms the food if you're not home.

Here are some recipes I found that I want to try when I get one of these bad boys...

Blog Star: Hi I'm Jamie

Like the title says, I'm Jamie. I'm a 27 year old Jersey Girl. That handsome fella' in the pic above next to me is my guy Mac. We've been together almost 7 years (7/16 will be 7 years) and have a fur baby together. His name is Sir Licks a Lot. He's an 19 month old Pit/Lab.

I do a lot of link ups on my blog because life seems to be quiet right now and I'm okay with that. The both of us work weekends. I post about the fur baby and recipes I'd like to try if I ever had time. I joined blogger after lurking for a while & then quit for a while. I''ve been here a little over a year now & wouldn't change it.  I've met some wonderful ladies in the blogging community. I hope you'll come back soon!

Some random facts about me:

• I was a preemie. Born 9 weeks early & weighed 4 1/2 pounds. 
• I am an only child.
• I love Target, Starbucks & gossip magazines.
• I have a love/hate relationship with the gym.
• I'm on weight watchers for the last few months & it actually does work (when you actually use it!)
• Mac & I have been engaged for 5 years.
• We have no plans on getting married anytime soon. We don't believe in marriage, but in long term commitments. We have our own reasons for not wanting to get married (email me if you want to know why!)
• I love dressing up, but hardly ever do.
• I'm a dispatcher for a cable company. Definitely not my dream job, but it's not bad for now.
