What I'm loving Wednesday

• I'm loving that we paid our deposit & January rent for the new place on Monday. It's official now.  Cannot wait to move in.
• I'm loving that I work for a wonderful man that was willing to help us out so we could move. I won't go into specifics about it. I will say that he's part of the reason I haven't quit my job.
• I'm loving that my boss gave me the option to work 7 days if I ever needed to and get paid for all the overtime. Right now I'm working 50 hours to begin with.  I need a day to myself.
• I'm loving that we finally decided on colors for the apartment. There will be grays, yellows, red, blacks and turquoise involved...not in one room lol
• I'm loving that we won't have to hide Sir anymore.
• And as always I'm loving Mac & Sir.

Target Tuesdays

I'm linking up for Target Tuesday again this week.  

I apologize for all the house related posts lately, but besides work, this is the only thing I'm focusing on. We move in 19 days!

I NEED a fan to sleep at night. Not for the breeze, but the noise.  I've tried white noise app on my phone/iPad, but it's not the same.

We have hard wood floors throughout the entire apartment. I feel like I we NEED this.

I hate to admit this, but Mac & I have been where we are now for 4 years and DO NOT own a complete bedding set.  It's all old blankets and crappy sheets.

I don't care where this goes, but I want it. I'm thinking bedroom or bathroom.

A wine rack would make me feel like an "official" adult. As long as it's always stocked with wine. Plus that means I'm an official blogger, right?

Fun with Phones Monday- Apartment pics

Well it's official! Mac & I signed our lease and got the keys to our new place.  We start moving in on December 28th if we want and then are officially in on January 1st. Here are some crappy before pics

Sorry the fridge is in the middle of the room. It was out because they had intentions of painting, but we offered to paint (and got $350 off the first months rent!).  Again, light gray walls with yellow, black & white accents. I JUST noticed I have space on top of the cabinets. The only thing I don't like is the stove.  No window or clock on it.

Christmas Survey

I saw this done by Nikki and decided it would be so fun and festive to fill it out myself. I'm trying to get in the holiday spirit, but it's not really working. Maybe this will help

Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate. Never had egg nog, but no drink should have the word Egg before it..

Colored lights on tree/house or white? Colored lights.

Do you hang mistletoe? Nope, maybe next year when we actually decorate for Christmas

When do you put your decorations up? Occasionally we'll do it Thanksgiving Day or the first week of December.  Anything before that & Mac complains it's "too soon".

What is your favorite holiday dish? Christmas around here is weird for us.  Usually we go to my dad's on Christmas Eve.  Mac & I bring Chinese and just hang out. Sometimes we'll go to Mac's family on Christmas, but usually we work the next day, so we just hang out at home. But pudding pie is one of my faves if we make it to a real Christmas dinner

Favorite Holiday memory as a child? My dad dressing up as Santa.  He'd do it every year. I never caught on, I just knew dad was never home when Santa came. It wasn't until YEARS later as I was looking through pics that I figured it out lol

When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I'll always believe in Santa...he even has a twitter...he's gotta be real LOL

Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Now it's Christmas Eve, but as a kid it was Christmas Day. First it would be presents from my parents and grandparents from Florida and then we'd spend the day going to my Aunt's house and my grandparent's.

How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Cheap decorations from walmart.  This year we have a 2 foot tree with some glitter balls, a few lights and some red bows.

Snow! Love it or Dread it? HATE it! It looks pretty at first lol

What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Oh cookies and pudding pie

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas Eve with my dad & either Mac's family Christmas Day or we go to the movies.  Last year we saw The Chipmunks..I'd like to do the same this year, but we'll see. Mac may go to his family's house.

Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? I found some mint chocolate ones that I'm loving this season.

Favorite Christmas movie? Elf. Santa? I KNOW HIM!!!!

Ikea wish list part 1

Since we're moving in 25 days, we have a lot of stuff to do/get. I have a tight budget, so most of our stuff is coming from IKEA. I'm going to post over the next few days the things we want/need. Today I'll just post living room ideas.  The first picture is the sofa we have now please feel free to let me know how you think everything would look together.  The chairs will more than likely be going in the bedroom and we're going for a different TV stand

Pinterest Apartment Ideas

Since we found out we got the apartment, my mind has been on overload on ways to make this place feel homey & cute.  Here are some of my ideas I hope to work on once we move in.

Only ours would probably place we first met, first date & first apartment since we're not married yet.

Sir needs a designated spot for food & I think something life this would be perfect. He doesn't have a spot now since we can't have him.

Would be perfect for near the front door since normally we drop our keys on the kitchen table.
